2012 March 12th: Monday:  HHCA Staff & Volunteers LEAF Training Day  (this will be the First of a Series of Consultation & Training events organised) as part of the Local Energy Assessment Fund (LEAF) Project - Organised prior to the Community Consultation & Training Day to be held on 20th March.

2012 February 28th: Tuesday: CLIMATE CONSULTING LTD HHCC SITE INVESTIGATION & AUDIT Day.  Climate Consulting Ltd Staff will visit Hilton Hall Community Centre to carry out an Energy Efficiency Investigation & Site Audit as part of the LEAF Programme and will provide 'Audit Feedback & Recommendations' at the Community Consultation & Training Day scheduled for March 20th, 2012.

2012 February 8th: The HHCA Management Team finally fitted the WYJC Overhead Projector to the Main Hall Ceiling (complete with all of the necessary fittings & wiring to accommodate connection to a Lap Top).  The Digital Overhead Projector was purchased with funding received from Wolverhampton Network Consortium (made to WYJC) way back in early 2011.  This equipment will be of benefit not only to the WYJC members but also other community groups using Hilton Hall for meetings and for presentations.

2012 February 6th: We were officially informed today that our application for the LOCAL ENERGY ASSESSMENT FUND GRANT (LEAF Programme) has been successful (our application went in on Friday 20th January 2012).  This LEAF project will be led by Hilton Hall in collaboration with Wolverhampton City Council and Climate Consulting Ltd.  The grant will be used to carry out investigation and auditing on the Hilton Hall site.  This will be followed by 'Audits' on Five (5) other local Community Groups' Sites.  All of these Community Centres will benefit from these 'LEAF Audits' which are designed to identify energy and water use, waste production and transport implications re: CO2 reductions and practical renewable energy solutions.  This part of the project will be conducted by Climate Consulting Ltd. who will provide feedback & reports for each 'Site' investigated and would identify appropriate energy efficiencies and appropriate 'Renewables' and water efficiency measures.

Once audits have been completed, Hilton Hall will host and run a series of energy efficiency and renewable energy training days for their staff and partners so that they can understand their options and can take action with confidence.  Our aim is to: Stimulate CO2 reduction, Alleviate fuel poverty, Provide environmental benefit to the whole of the Community in a socially responsible manner.  However, ALL of this has to be completed before the end of March in order to qualify for the Government Funding.  So, all of the Audits, Consultations and Feedback / Training Days are being planned as we speak.  As soon as the Training / Consultation & Audit Days are scheduled; immediate Partners and stakeholders will be informed in writing, and the Events will be announced on this web site.  Members of the local Community are also invited to attend the Training / Consultation Meetings to be held at Hilton Hall.
